Spring Trend Alert: In the Clear for Sheer

The Sheer Look which was super popular in the 1990's at one time is making a comeback ladies. Luckily this time around designers are working with super-thin materials to achieve the sheer look instead of in the 1990's the fabric being basically see-through. I think this look is super feminine and sexy. There is different ways to play with this look, try layering, some feminine draping and also the peek-a- boo look which is for example a sheer neckline. If you are a little hesitant to try this look then pair it with a sweater or jacket, that way you can still rock the trend but leave more to the imagination.

This first look is a perfect example of the sheer look used in skirt form. I love this look because is exudes such effortless femininty and I love how the sheer skirt just flows. These colors together are also amazing and help create that soft flowing look. The second look is an example of the peek-a-boo neckline and how just a touch of sheer gives off a mysterious look.

This collection is like a 1940's fairy tail, he used a lot of sheer elements mixed with 1940's looking silhouettes . I am in love with this collection because it reminds me of old hollywood glamour. Again the use of sheer pieces still can give you that sheer look without revealing more than you want to.

Abbey Lee Kershaw

She takes the sheer trend in another direction and opts for a sheer overlay with this lace dress. I love the idea of using sheer in use of a cardigan for the spring, the sheer and the lace combined give off that feminine look that I love.

This street style look is the perfect way to take the sheer look from the runway to the streets. The cropped leather pants and heels in combination with the sheer yet feminine looking shirt creates a very classy and sophisticated look, without looking sleezy.
