Winter Trend: Knit Wit!

This Winter, designers went knit crazy - with knitted clothing appearing on numerous catwalks. it’s a simple trend to follow and of course, its practical too. Missoni - who’ve always been one up when it comes to interesting knits, created head hanging snoods, chunky floor length scarves and gigantic knitted jumpers.
It had a futuristic feel, with minimal pattern and a neutral coloured accessories.

Dries Van Noten created oversized sweaters which hung baggily over model’s sculptured shoulders and Diane Von Furstenberg also created a similar look - with oversized cardigans and matching knit hats.
Marc Jacobs took a quirky take on the knit for his Marc by Marc Jacobs line - with masculine tailoring and argyle patterned sweaters with stripy, coloured sleeves.

Rodarte’s designs had an almost alien futurism with grey haired models and silver coloured textiles. Rodarte displayed some detailed chunky knitwear, including belted silver and grey cardigans.
This trend is a really achievable one, just add some textured knitwear to your outfit - a chunky scarf, a simple oversized sweater or an interesting, patterned piece.
