Yves Saint Laurent Autumn/Winter 2010 collection was a love affair of texture. There was a stiff and starch feel to much of the jackets, while a strong wool was used in the jumpers - it leaves a traditional look of old-fashion style clothing, but then comes the interesting twist which relieves the collection just before it hits on boring - There's a big focus on oversized, with serveral longer then usual jackets. There's a few cool takes on the shearling jacket, which gets a bit of a makeover for the season.
A plethora of sophisticated tux style jackets and long armed gloves give the looks some punch. The colour pallette seems a little lacking in my view - sticking to browns, greys and black - but it works for what the collection is trying to portray.
Overall, it ends up being a tad on the plain side but it makes up for it with the few interesting pieces it does bring to the table.
