Alexander McQueen's Label to Live on

According to Vogue.com, the Alexander McQueen label will continue doing business. PPR chairman and chief executive Francois Henri-Pinault confimed this morning that the label will not be closing down because of the recent tragic death of the house's designer -  Alexander McQueen. Francois said about the designer:

"You understand, the Alexander McQueen trademark will live on, fashion has lost one of its extraordinary people. He was one of the falling stars that comes across our generation [and] he is a person we will miss enormously."

The Gucci Group, which owns 51% of the McQueen label said in a statement that they believe the label can live on.

"We believe in the future of the brand, Lee was very proud of the people working in his company, and so am I."

They have not yet confirmed if the Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter show which is scheduled for March 9th will go ahead or not.
