LFW: Christopher Kane Autumn/Winter 2010

Christopher Kane worked his magic again this season - this time fusing embroidered florals with silk. There was none of his signature print t-shirts, which I’ve always found make an interesting component in Kane’s collections. The looks were more mature - a full black collection made up of lace, silk and florals. It looked a bit like a traditional Irish dancing costume (google it if your don‘t know what I‘m talking about - they have a very distinct design!) mixed with a Japanese touch - wow what a mix!

I don’t think this was Kane’s best collection but it did show that he was trying to mature - I’m just not sure that this was the right direction for Kane.
I did however love the shoes - the strappy black heels looked like a mix between ballet dancer and gladiator sandal, I’ve posted pictures below.
