MFW: Versace Autumn/Winter 2010

You could tell that Donatella was pulling hard at the reigns of this collection. She tried to do go in another direction, keeping it young and fresh still, but this time with tailoring and cuts - quite different from the pastel mini-dresses from last season. There was some really beautiful dresses - I especially loved the finale dress, which was structural, always like made out of armour.

The floor length dresses were a good array of colours and added some life to the palette of the collection. The dresses were cut really interestingly - from full length middle splits to dresses that were almost mini-dresses except for where the floor length fabric still hung, like the fabric had been cut away from a portion of the dress. I really liked this collection, and although it didn’t have as much of an impact as last season’s collection but it was great to see Donatella still keeping it fresh and young.
