NYFW: Alexander Wang Fall 2010

Wang mixed it up this season - creating offerings of draped velvet for evening wear and more draping for daytime wear, with draped, knitted cardigans. Alexander was clearly trying to push himself to create something completely new - and he tried hard to redefine the way we wear clothes - adding midriff showing, velvet numbers and even some matrix inspired pieces! There was some wearable creations too such as tailored, cut-out jackets and some knit sweaters.

Alexander also created a thigh-high legging which was wore by the models over shoes and cut off at thigh length, much like the thigh-high boots of last season, only in legging form. Velvet was the most dominating fabric of the show and appeared as jackets, tops, dresses - literally on everything in some form.
Here's the images from the show.
