NYFW: Peter Jensen Fall 2010

Peter Jensen’s Fall 2010 collection took inspiration from 1940s Britain. 40s style dresses were undated with blocks of brilliant, bright colours which is Jensen’s signature. The dresses looked completely vintage except for these few minor updates.

There was denim and check added to pinstripe and fur for a complete mix up of the look. Headscarves were added to the models for a quirky 40s style accessory - and the male models wore colourful cardigans, dressed down with jeans or check trousers but they were still very much Jensen - with off-beat trainers and scarves.

The collection even featured a “changing of the guards” jumpsuit which was formed into a colourful pattern and had a shirt style opening. The looks were topped off with pompom fur hats, headscarves and clutch bags and was accompanied with live music by the Cardigans.
