Proenza Schouler was set up by design duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez in 2002. The two have become hugely successful and have been growing in popularity ever since.Their vibrant and modern designs always have made this pair stand out, and they have become more recognized recently when they showed a particularly stand-out collection for Spring/Summer 2010.

The collection had a surfer girl vibe - with summery dresses which were patterned to look like waves, sunglasses and surf textured hair. The structure and pattern was what made this collection visually stunning, as well as the gorgeous shoes and bags that the pair teamed with each look.
Here is an example of one of the shoes from the collection(right) - the pattern and design make these shoes completely unique and fresh - which is what Proenza Schouler managed to achieve with this surfer chic collection - this collection gave us something to be excited about - the colours and covetable designs made the fashion world take notice.
This bag by Proenza Schoulder (Left) is modern and excellently constructed - it's futuristic vibe is created by the attention to detail, such as the different sized cut out holes which feature all over the bag, as well as the emphasized symmetrical shape.
McCollough and Hernandez are clearly an excellent design team. Not only do their visions mesh together well, but they are constantly creating designs which will further propel the two into the fashion limelight. Their designs are youthful, stylish and interesting and they will only continue to grow - both as a label and as designers.

In another stunning show - Proenza Schoulder showed off their impecable creations at New York Fashion Week - featuring more stunning prints, graphic lines, sharp boyish tailoring and 90s references - this collection was another instant classic and showed that the dynamic duo are very much still on top of their game.
The future is bright for both McCollough and Hernandez - and they are sure to be one of the biggest names in fashion is a few years time - these two have incredible talent and show great promise. They are one of a few emmerging designers who we can be sure will shape fashion's future.
