Fashion File: Vlada Roslyakova

 
Vlada Roslyakova was born Elena Roslyakova, in 1987, in Omsk, Russia. When Vlada began her modelling career, she changed her name to Vlada, as there was already a model named Elena Rosenkova. She then moved to Tokyo where her career progressed so well that she ended up in New York, working for some of the biggest fashion houses in the world. 
Vlada has modelled for several fashion power houses - including Vera Wang, D&G, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Nina Ricci and Burberry.

Vlada has become known for her doll-like looks, as well as her signature baggy eyes - she has obvious bags under her eyes which have become a unique part of Vlada's look. Vlada said in an interview that if she was not modelling, she would be studying Psychology at university.

Vlada has several friends within the fashion industry, most notably Sasha Pivovarova, Snejana Onopka, Natasha Poly & Anna Kuznetsova.

Vlada has appeared on the catwalk all over the world - Milan, Paris, New York, Moscow, & Sao Paolo. She has also been the face on serveral advertisement campaigns for a various labels, including:
Hermés, Roberto Cavalli, MaxMara and D&G.

Vlada has had a variety of hair colours during her time in the spotlight - from black to blonde and everything in between. Most people believe her true hair colour to be red, because this is the colour she had when her modelling career took off, but her natural hair colour is actually a light brown.

Vlada was named one of the top 30 models of the 2000s by Vogue Paris.
