The Last Collection of Our McQueen

Alexander McQueen's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection marked the last of Lee McQueen. This 16 piece collection was unveiled the other day in Paris. McQueen's inspirations ranged from Byzantine art and old master paintings to the carvings of Grinling Gibbons, and each look was worn with a bronze cap, some spiked with a Mohawk of gilded leaves like a Roman war helmet, according to WWD. It is said that "Each piece is unique, as he was."

This collection reminds me of the era of Queens and Kings and it is only fit that it was our McQueen's last collection. This is unlike anything I've ever seen in that fashion world it's truly beautiful pieces of art and a beautiful ending to a very somber story. We will miss you Lee but your legacy  shall live on.
