MFW: Missoni Autumn/Winter 2010

Wow, what a show by Missoni - this was my favourite so far from Milan Fashion Week. I loved everything about this show - the tribal edge, the prints, the signature chunky knits - down to the choices of models and the dark moody lipstick.
Missoni did what it’s renowned for so well this season. It injected a whole new life into their brilliant knitwear, adding graphic prints to the mix. There was some absolutely beautiful floor length capes which I could already imagine Carine Roitfeld wearing.

I loved the patchwork which was added to many of the pieces, and I loved the horizontal multicolour stripes on everything too. The cool, tribal vibe made for a really interesting theme to the collection. The addition of fur added some sophistication and the black lipstick made for a moody look. This was a stunning show which strived to make an impact and really pulled it off.
