Past Fashion "Don'ts" are "Dos" for Spring/Summer 2010

As the snow outside is melting, spring is feeling closer than ever. This means spring cleaning, and spring shopping--a favorite past time of stylish girls everywhere. Vogue UK gives eager fashionistas a heads up on trends that will be prominent in stores this spring and summer. It seems that what were once fashion don'ts, are now fashion dos.

From "Inside Out" to "Denim on Denim," the pictures show there are no boundaries when it comes to fashion. Lingerie is a prominent trend from the runway to local retailers. This trend is best done when juxtaposing feminine soft shapes with more structured menswear pieces. Think a tulle mixed with leather and black and red is only appropriate in the bedroom.

Topshop brings the trend to the masses at affordable prices.

According to the runways, denim on denim is no longer the look of Americana ranchers or 90's popstars, but is actually fashion forward. There is one major rule for this trend, however. Each piece must be a different wash to avoid that "cowboy tuxedo" look.

Alexander Wang, J Brand, and Genetic Denim are several takes on denim.
