PFW: Dries Van Noten Autumn/Winter 2010

This collection was all about masculine tailoring mixed in with beautiful, feminine pieces. The sleek tailoring came in the form of smart, gentlemanly coats and jackets, and androgynous sweaters teamed with flawless trousers. These were mixed in with patterned dresses, belted, loose skirts and printed streamline tops to great effect. I loved the animal print which was also added into the mix in the form of gilets and other small, subtle touches for an interesting contrast.
This was a truly impressive collection. It didn’t come off as too try hard - it was understated, chic fashion at its best.
