PFW: Rick Owens Autumn/Winter 2010

Rick Owens put his usual vampy stamp on Paris Fashion Week with his new Autumn/Winter collection. Graphic print leggings and dresses were all very subtle with a grey wash predominant in the collection. The models wore the signature Rick Owens slick of charcoal black eyeliner and gelled back sculpted hair.
It was Owens at his best - the subtle triangle style print covered dresses and leggings - which were mingled in with leather and a light velvet style fabric. There was several wool cardigans and jackets which were cut to Owens’ signature funnel neck design and which were all streamline with no visible fastenings.

There was a sort of tribal theme which was mixed into the usual gothic theme - hoodies were mixed with fur gilets, biker jackets and dresses (cut asymmetrically). This was another undoubted triumph for Owens and showed off his eccentric ability to make clothes the likes of which have never been seen before.
