Trend: Floor Sweeping Dresses

This season, a new casual dress length is taking over: a floor sweeping, fitted dress says sexy boho in a simple, chic way for Spring/Summer. Seen on the catwalks, this highly adaptable trend is easy to wear, and one of the best things about this look, is that you can easily dress it up or down, so can move from day to nightwear in the blink of an eye.
For this trend, think fitted but not bodycon. Add heels if your worried that the dress will drown you out in fabric. Keep the dress simple - choose a vest style dress, and team it with some wow accessories, such as a bright pink necklace, or some studded boots, or even an elaborate hairstyle.
Or play the look vice versa, and team a printed, detailed dress with nude accessories.

Acne Spring/Summer 2010
Gucci Spring/Summer 2010

Swedish label Acne keep their version of this new dress style casual by teaming it with a slouchy waistcoat and loose hair. Gucci dolled up the trend, with heels and slick hair.

Basso & Brooke Spring/Summer 2010
Haider Ackermann Spring/Summer 2010

Basso & Brooke made their dress statement, with their signature digital print, and vampy dark lipstick.
Haider Ackermann kept his version streamline and added a sexy low cut V, as well as a drappy halterneck.

Hermés Spring/Summer 2010

Hermés added a floor sweeping cardigan to match their long simple white dress, teamed with strappy sandals and a sporty headband.
