Gucci's Resort collection 2011 took its call from military, mixing the popular army theme with tailored two-piece suits as well as showcasing a variety of belt prints, which featured on many of the pieces for the collection. Skinny pantsuits were made tough with masculine tailoring and army green colouring.
The dresses were suitably slinky and glamorous, juxtaposing the military pieces with a more feminine touch, while the printed swimsuit one piece featured more black and white belt print finished off with a beach tote.
Frida Giannini's inspiration was at least somewhat inspired by the 70's - a decade that we saw make a comeback at Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Resort collection too.
