Baptiste was born on November 9, 1989 in Marseille. He was encouraged by a woman from his sports club to pursue modelling and surely enough, he was on his way to stardom. He was accepted at the first modelling agency he tried, MGM Paris. His first shoot was captured by Laurent Marseille Piomb and shortly after this, Karl Lagerfeld spotted Baptiste in an Italian magazine.
