Nautical Must-Haves

This summer calls for us to set sail, but if you aren't so lucky as to live by the sea, at least look like you do. Nautical prints and accessories are in...again. It is a trend we can't seem to let go of, and why would we? Designers are constantly reinventing the simplistic pieces and signature stripes.

Tory Burch understands the necessities of a stylish beach tote, which is why she designed her straw totes that come in a variety of bright colors. She even gave the option of a shoulder strap or top handles to change up the look. The signature gold symbol and accents will go perfectly with the gold chained necklaces that are part of the nautical look. Don't pass up her striped totes either.

Nugaard Designs has just the right hint of gold for you. Their simple, yet intricate pieces will go perfectly with the understated nautical look. The woven chains are casual enough for the beach or a sunset sail, but still stand out. When trying colored accessories, such as the nautical jewelry Target is carrying, try pairing the pieces with simple clothing items. The vibrant colors will really pop on a white tee paired with high-waisted black shorts.

Enough with accessories. What clothes are there to wear? Stella McCartney designed great statement pieces with sail boat prints and anchor logos. Red pumps or espadrilles compliment her sail boat print dress for a date night, while a pair of sneakers would pair nicely with her anchor sweater for a cool night.
