Trend: Stand Out Patterns

Big and bold: patterns have taken a loud turn for Spring/Summer. Diane Von Furstenberg, who is the queen bee when it comes to patterns, lead the printing revolution, along with fashion houses Miu Miu and Proenza Schouler. The best way to rock the trend? Pick one bold piece and team with a simple black/white palette to keep the focus on your item of choice.
Miu Miu used a dull navy base to which bright white, simplistic patterns were added (most noticeably the silhouettes of cats/birds). Diane Von Furstenberg and Proenza Schouler went for all out beach glamour with tropical and surf inspired prints. For a casual take on the trend, choose a bright patterned scarf or shoes and team with good basics, such as a t-shirt and jeans, or even a simple vest dress.
Night-time glamour means taking the look up a notch - a full on patterned dress in a slinky cut will give you a sexy, street chic cool.  Here is some of the best pieces, along with some catwalk inspiration.
