CFDA Fashion Awards: The Winners

Last night the Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards was held in the Lincoln Center in New York. Many covetable prizes were handed out to new and established designers for their contributions to the fashion industry.

Jason Wu, Richard Chai, Alexander Wang

One of the most prestigious awards, for Womenswear Designer of the Year went to Marc Jacobs, who thanked Robert Duffy in his speech, saying:

"I want to thank [Duffy], without you this dream would never have come true."

Menswear Designer of the Year went to David Neville and Marcus Wainwright for their label Rag & Bone.

Under the category of Swarovski Womenswear Designer of the Year, Jason Wu took home the prize, while Richard Chai was honored with the Menswear version of the same award.

Alexander Wang justifiably won the award for Accessory Design after successfully creating sell-out IT bags and sought-after shoes all year long.
