Diane Von Furstenberg's line of easy separates, tribal prints and chic little dresses seemingly defined a Resort collection. No one outfit came down the runway without elements of mixture, structure and ease as DVF once again designed an exquisite line, desired by every woman. While black and white played a strong role in her color scheme, pops of neon mixed with a myriad of flattering silhouettes made for her Resort collection to be truly eye-catching.
While many designers played with tribal prints this season, DVF took it to another level by incorporating preppy elements into her design. African-inspired prints mixed with visors and espadrilles gave a new spin to the ethnic trend. Seperates such as shorts and blazers added a tailored element to her summer looks, while pieces inspired by 60's glamor, and 80's new wave popped up occasionally, adding an even more versatile facet to the collection.
As her 2011 collection leaves still more to be raved about, DVF's line of Resort wear is anything but monotone. With an outfit for every occasion, DVF truly delivered a once again expert mix of flattering shapes, on-point trends, luscious dresses and perfect separates.
