Lily Cole told Vogue that she has plans to prioritize her acting career, and that she may be finished with modelling for good. Lily has been taking to the catwalk much more infrequently then past years, and is clearly hoping to focus more on her acting work. Lily's recent appearance in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus was just the beginning of Lily on the big screen - she will also play the role of Alice in the upcoming film Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll which will be directed by Marilyn Manson.
Lily spoke to Vogue about her modelling career and future plans:"I love acting and if the right opportunity did come along I would definitely consider quitting altogether, it is certainly something I want to prioritise in the future. It's not a finite decision though - I may not get the opportunity. If a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came along I'd even consider leaving Cambridge to do a film. I'd definitely weigh up my options and talk to my tutors about flexibility."
Lily tells Vogue about the sort of roles that interest her:
"It's more about the director than the part to be honest, I'm not committed to doing any specific roles - I'm more excited about playing lots of different parts. As I said the role is secondary. I'd be very interested in anything by Darren Aronofsky, Woody Allen or Godard although I'm not sure he does films anymore."
Lily says that all the experience she gained as a model has helped her feel comfortable as an actress:
"It's hard to distinguish whether it has helped but I don't know any other way, it's definitely helped confidence wise. I find acting much more of a challenge - acting is definitely harder."Lily clearly doesn't have her plans set in stone as of yet, and is taking each different career path as it comes - although it seems apparent that she would give up modelling to pursue her acting career if she was given the right chance - it all depends on what opportunities present themselves.
