Tropical tastes at
Gucci to perfectionist preppy at D&G - this season's menswear collections so far have been abundant in variety.
Burberry Prorsum provided us with look for the hunky, slightly dishevelled rock'n'roll guy, while Versace filled the gap for tailored, sleek pieces. Missoni presented their usual mix of stripped wear, but this time with a slightly neon stripe.
Over at Bottega Veneta we saw a selection of open button cardigans teamed with loose, matching trousers and carefree sandals, all teamed with mahogany coloured satchels, thrown effortlessly around each model.
Sarah Burton sent her first full set of
Alexander McQueen designs down the catwalk since she became creative director - a feeling of McQueen's usual design work was still present, with a mix of historical themed pieces blended seamlessly with modern items, such as baggy, digital printed trousers.
Moschino went down the 80's route, showing punk inspired patchwork jackets and t-shirts, topped off with check pants, studs and printed pieces. So far, the variety has been astonishing - the menswear collections this season have proved to be more then equally as delightful as any womenswear shows - and possibly even more exciting at times, as the boundaries of men's fashion continue to expand.
