MODELS: Simon Nessman

His name may not be familiar to you, but if you've been anywhere by menswear, his face shouldn't be. You may have seen it peeking at you from the newsstand as he covered Elle Men Mexico, L'Officiel Homme China, or GQ Style. Or maybe you flipped past a John Galliano Underwear, Frankie Morello, or D&G ad in one of the many fashion magazines you've gotten your hands on. Better yet, you may have seen him in editorials published in Vogue Russia, Dazed and Confused, VMan, Vogue Italia, Contributing Editor, or even Numero Homme.

Wherever you saw him, it's a good chance that you've seen him more than once, and his brown ringlets have stuck in your head. Born in Canada, Simon Nessman was signed to Major Model Management in New York City. In his first year, he modeled an editorial with Lily Donaldson, walked in shows for Dsquared2 and Narcisco Rodriguez, and appeared in ads for Givenchy, Ralph Lauren Rugby, Bennetton, Lord and Taylor and the Gap Holiday campaign. He was also featured as a model of the week by Models.com.

Now represented by Major (NY), Ford Europe(Paris), IMM Bruxxells(Brussels), Kult Agency(Hamburg), and I LOVE(Milan), Nessman has surely shaken any "newbie" ties. Blogger/photographer JD Ferguson says this in reference to Simon:

My obsession with you is more from a professional standpoint, really. It's more about the perfection of your face, which I know must seem incredibly shallow, but for me (and countless others) your beauty is somewhat classic and a bit iconic.

So as the Milan, and Paris gears up for the many male models that will soon take over their streets, here is one face that will definitely make it to many of the runways. Carrying behind him an ongoing contract with Versace and the brand of Givenchy, Simon Nessman doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon.
