Outstanding Outerwear from the Fall 2010 Runways

There were so many great coats on the fall runways, whatever the occasion or whatever your style, there is a perfect option. From the capes at Alexander Wang and Yves Saint Laurent, to luxurious furs at Michael Kors and Bottega Veneta, outerwear took center stage on the catwalk.

Camel coats will be huge this season, as the classic is back in a big way. Work a tailored fit for an elegant touch, or an oversize version like at MaxMara for a laid back feel. If you're looking to stand out in the crowd, Marc Jacobs can show you how with his fabulous fur-lined belted jacket, or take a hint from Balmain and rock the leopard-print look. For a more sophisticated style, Celine showed some great tailored coats in dark hues, and the trench is perpetually chic, seen on the runways of Tommy Hilfiger and Dries Van Noten.

Check out some of the best outerwear from the fall runways below. You'll be dying for a cold spell.
