Peter Jensen Resort 2011: Perfectly Playful

While most designers focused purely on the clothing for their Resort presentation, Peter Jensen's use of colorful backgrounds and unconventional props helped to display his line of preppy casual wear. As models appeared to be frolicking in giant gift boxes, Jensen's separates still shined through, with the help of flats, tube socks, and bow ties.

Bright pops of primary colors gave this line an almost child-like feel, yet a sophistication through structured jackets, detailed cardigans and simply perfect shorts. Bows in all forms and subtle hints of 80's print kept the collection from appearing too juvenile, as Jensen also showed range through his use of metallics and a staple current trend: rompers. Skinny pants and 60s styled dresses also made an appearance, as Jensen succeeded in creating a Resort 2011 line is just as fun to look at, as it would be to wear.
