Stella McCartney Resort 2011: Clean, Fresh, Pure

There was just something so fresh about Stella McCartney's Resort 2011 collection. Maybe it was the bold floral prints, or the crisp, clean lines of her tailored coats, or even the subtle lace detail peeking out from beneath her capes. Every piece just worked so well.
Standout looks included a short, one-shouldered dress with a floor-sweeping train in always-flattering black, a sweet all-white blazer and pant combination, and perfect shrunken capes with a nod to military-inspired sophistication. McCartney played a lot with the minimalist trend, showing every neutral shade and keeping accessories basic, if added at all.

She worked with a lot of classic silhouettes in her tailored pants, blazers and outerwear, but added pops innovation, as with her blue cocktail dress with the striking shoulder. There was a little bit of everything, but never too much, which is always the best mix.
