YSL Resort 2011: Hits of Prints and Color

Stefano Pilati's Resort 2011 show for Yves Saint Laurent was quite a departure from the work he has turned out as of late; dark clothes with little infusion of color. For this collection though, Pilati played with color and print while still showcasing impeccable attention to detail in the crisp tailoring of his jackets, pants, and skirts.

There were chic coats and dresses in black and white, traditional YSL signatures. But this time, added in were dresses with bold prints, skirts with a splash of color up the side, and basics with a twist. Pilati also used subtle details like green, red and animal print belts, along with trim in a multitude of colors to enhance the collection. A jumpsuit in bold black and red, and lavender shorts with a pink top were standout looks for the trendsetting girl.

The mix of color and classics made for a refreshing show. Through it all though, the collection was completely YSL: sophisticated, chic and totally lust-worthy.
