Giles Autumn/Winter 2010 |
"I'm really excited. It seemed like a good idea to bring my own label back to London. I don't like the idea of doing two things in one city, I like the freshness of popping around and not being pigeon-holed. It keeps it exciting and fresh which is what everyone likes about the fashion industry."
Giles admits that he finds London is supportive of his work, but moving his show somewhere else in the future could still remain on the cards:
"I love the support in London. I always said I'd come back when the time was right. I wouldn't rule out showing in New York if the time was right."
Giles has a considerable amount of force now that he is creative director of two fashion houses, and showing in two cities will separate the two collections further, so perhaps a positive move for Giles and his own label, as well as for his future work at Ungaro.
