Iris Van Herpen S/S 2011

When Iris Van Herpen S/S 2011, had pieces from her Crystallisation collection shown at Amsterdam Fashion Week, there were comparisons between her pieces and Alexander McQueen's last Spring/Summer collection. The animalistic inspiration, the beautiful abstract shapes and the pure imagination gone into them. Despite all this, though, there are some incredible, new ideas were brought to the table by her. The puddle dress was one of the most beautiful creations I've ever seen -  like a caramel frapuccino, creamy, iced and cool skintoned. All minidresses but they are also so much more, with beautiful, draped and folded leather.
