Autumn Beauty: Bobbi Brown Black Velvet

 Bobbi Brown's Autumn/Winter makeup collection named Black Velvet really lives up to it's name: sultry charcoals, vampy black and brown lipsticks, and some lighter grey shades, perfect for a day-time version of this daringly dark look. The collection is set to hit beauty counters in September, but here is a preview of what's what, so you can plan your Autumn/Winter beauty list accordingly.



The Lips: Lip colours take their inspiration from some of the more gothic looks from the Autumn runways: below is two Lip Colour bullets in Black Maple and Black Raspberry (pictured left) and Creamy Lip Colour lipsticks which come in Black Mahogany and Black Cherry (pictured right). Each lip colour will retail for €22.00 approx.


The Eyes: Eyeshadows come in a mix of metallic, sparkle or matte finishes - in a range of shades from dark black to metallic rust. The metallic shades (bottom row) are Black Berry, Black Cocoa and Black Charcoal. The matte finish eyeshadow (top left) comes in both Black Charcoal and Black Chocolate, and the sparkle finish shadow (top right) come in Black and Black Velvet. Each eyeshadow shade will also retail for €22.00 each.


This Bobbi Brown collection gets the thumbs up for being runway inspired, and coming in a range of really nice shades and finishes - perfect for vamping up a night-time look, or making a daytime outfit more runway worthy.
