Gisele's Slippery Campaign for Colcci

Gisele Bundchen understands the importance of roots, which is why she is the face of Colcci, a streetwear label in her native country of Brazil. The new campaign, shot by photographer, Gui Paganini, is what you can call greasy. Her hair is oily and slicked to her face, and her skin is incredibly shiny and blue. It looks as if she's been dunked in freezing water for a few hours. Sometimes, you should just let a woman's beauty shine, rather than overdoing it with unnecessary "artistic" choices.

What is interesting is that the actor shot alongside Bundchen in this campaign, Reynaod Giannechini isn't' slathered in baby oil, but looks rather handsome and it's probably because the creative director decided to forgo the shiny look.

Aside from a slippery campaign, it is also a boring one. The background reminds me of one that could have been used for an eighties school photo. When you can make two of the most beautiful people to come from Brazil look bad, that's saying something. We can only hope the label's next campaign will be reminiscent of her beach shoot where she showed off a healthy glow and washed, wavy hair.
