Icon: Carine Roitfeld

 Carine Roitfeld owns the word icon: after years of work within the fashion industry, she is one of the world's most recognizable fashion faces. Currently the editor of Vogue Paris, Carine has had many other projects in the past, and started off in the business as a model at age 18, which she describes as: "I wasn't a star, I was just booked for junior magazines."

She first began her work for magazines at French Elle, as a writer and stylist, and still does both to this day. Carine has often teamed up with photographer Mario Testino on a variety of photo shoots, as well as working with a plethora of the most exciting fashion photographers to date. Her styling work is often refined, edgy, yet tasteful and classical, which often filters into her own unique sense of style too.

Normally seen seated on the front row at fashion week, Carine is often wrapped up in a fur, an elegant leopard print, or a quirky floppy hat. Her style is fun, sophisticated and of course, bang on trend.
