New Season Prints For Fall/Winter

Even though minimalism seemed to dominate the catwalks this Autumn, prints were still seen everywhere, with at least one or two items in most collections. It's hard to ignore the eye-catching qualities of a vivid digital print or graphic t-shirt, and we saw many different printing styles being utilized in many different ways.

Richard Nicoll's collection was casual and laidback - it was so simple that a few graphic tees were added to take the edge off the crisp finish - and it worked perfectly. One of the stand out collections for prints this season was Dries van Noten, who presented a mix of really vibrant prints, all smashed together, but somehow seamlessly.

Proenza Schouler's grungy prints were paint-splattered and futuristic, applied to dresses and skinny trousers to give then an instant update. Peter Pilotto and Erdem's prints provided a new, adapted version of the floral dress. Erdem's dresses were given a spruce up with lux velvet, high-collars and embellishments, while Peter Pilotto's body-hugging dresses showed off deep orange abstract prints.

These prints on offer range dramatically form futuristic to feminine, but one thing remain the same: each piece offers the perfect alternative from the recent move towards minimalism, and gives the wearer a chance to be bold and bright.
