Make no bones about it - Oscar de la Renta has always designed with a more mature woman in mind. It's a classy woman, with a penchant for the occasional twin set, and it’s someone very different to the fashion pack that line the rows at Proenza Schouler. The Oscar woman is irrefutably glamorous and classic, powerful and chic. Oscar succeeded in putting a spring into the Spring season, with lime colours, pale pinks, citrus yellows and a deep orange all splashed on suited skirts and jacket combos, as well as the usual array of grand ball gowns.
A cast of well known models showed Oscar’s designs off in style - Coco Rocha, Anja Rubik, Chanel Iman, Lily Donaldson and Magdalena Frackowiak all made several appearances. The show wowed with the selection of bellowing, breezy dresses, and teased with some subtle colourful patterns throughout. It's a case of another job well done for Oscar, whose vision of glamour and classiness has never lead him astray yet.
