Trend: Kitten Heels Make a Comeback

Kitten heels were first introduced in the 1950's, and today are synonymous with a sort of classic elegance. As 1950's glamour has come scurrying back into vogue this season, so has everything with a retro twist, and that means the return of the kitten heel. Notoriously hard to pull off, the kitten heel is seductive and classic. Marc Jacobs sent his models down the runway for his Marc Jacobs line with their feet clad in a similar style, and kept the 50's vibe alive with full skirts for Louis Vuitton.

They might not be the easiest shoe to pull off, but are simple to slip on with a pair of jeans, or to give an updated twist with a LBD. Kitten heels are an easy way of injecting a touch of the 50's into your outfit without going whole hog, so why not slip on a pair and give this Mad Men inspired look a try?
