MFW: Alberta Ferretti Spring/Summer 2011

Whenever I see florals on the September runways I can only think of one quote,
Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking...
While the Miranda Priestly's feeling holds true for most collections, when I saw the latest offerings from Alberta Ferretti, instead I thought, ethereal. Maybe it was the use combination of the erotic fabrics of sheer and jersey as well as the very innocent floral prints. Maybe it was the way the garments caught the wind as the models walked seemingly rippling around them, or maybe it was just the lighting. Whatever the cause, the entire collection seemed to have a glow about it. The coloring of the collection was demure and this more than likely contributed to the ethereal feeling.
