Lara Stone covers Vogue Paris |
Lara Stone enjoys a little bit of controversy. The latest controversy emerged after her latest campaign for Calvin Klein Jeans was banned in Australia for seemingly promoting rape (see full story here) - it doesn’t get a whole lot more controversial than that. Lara admits she likes her work to be on the ‘naughty’ side. She told the Observer:
"I think naughty shoots suit my personality, I don't mind doing a straightforward fashion shoot, but it's more fun when there's something naughty in it."
Lara admitted that she had never thought of herself as model before she was approached by an agent, and was teased at school:
"In school I was always the funny-looking, tall, skinny kid that got made fun of because of my weird teeth, when someone comes up and says you should be a model, it's the last thing you expect to hear."
The Dutch stunner graces the current issue of Vogue UK (check out the cover here, and photo shoot here) which is more than evidence of her stardom and new found fame, and thanks to her marriage to British funny man David Walliams, she is quickly becoming a household name.
