Model Watch: Kate Moss

Kate Moss was born on January 16, 1974 in Croydon, Surrey, England. When Kate was 14, she was discovered by Sarah Ducas of Storm Models in London. Kate then signed with Storm in London and two other modeling agencies; Women in New York and Marilyn in Milan. Her first modeling job launched her as the “it” girl of the modelling scene, landing the magazine covers of The Face in the UK, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, W, V and many more.  

At the beginning of her career Kate Moss appeared in many Calvin Klein ads including Obsession, CK Be and CK One. She also appeared in ads for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and L’Oreal. Kate walked the runway for designers such as Calvin Klein, Chanel, ChloĆ©, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Helmut Lang, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gianni Versace, Balenciaga, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and Burberry.

Kate has appeared in movies like Isaac Mizrahi's Unzipped, Catwalk, Beautopia and Original Copies. Kate also starred in many music videos including, "Delia's Gone" and "The Way You Look Tonight." She also released a book titled Kate: The Kate Moss Story, which is a collection of her favorite pictures of herself. After many years of having a successful modeling career Kate Moss is still modeling and her career is still going strong. Most recently, friend and photographer Mario Testino, who helped Kate reach her potential as a model, released his own book of photographs dedicated to the British beauty.
