Stephanie Seymour is considered one of the original supermodels of the 1990’s. Seymour was born July 23, 1969 in San Diego, California. When she was 14 years old, she started modeling for local newspapers and departments stores in San Diego. She later entered in the Elite Look of the Year contest and won first place and then decided to move to New York.

In 1991, while in Florida shooting a photo spread for Playboy magazine, she landed the cover of Vogue UK and her career subsequently took off. She soon began walking for fashion designers such as Gianni Versace, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Helmut Lang, Louis Vuitton and Hermes. She also appeared in several magazines and on covers including the likes of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, W, and GQ to name a few.
In October 1998, Stephanie released a book entitled Stephanie Seymour's Beauty for Dummies; in her book she reveals her own beauty secrets. Today she is still a spokes model for various companies including Chanel, Versace and L’Oreal.
