Like an enveloping scent, or a diamond encrusted watch, Pierre Hardy’s accessories are often that little part of an outfit which just makes it what it is. For Spring/Summer, Hardy’s accessories are bursting with mouth-watering shades of tangerine and strawberry, and with pops of bright patent leather and block heels, the collection is suitably modern and sophisticated too.
The overall vibe was overtly art deco inspired with a futuristic twist, with thick pinstripe orange and pink wedges, lego-esque construction and a feel of overall modernism. It was seductively fresh, with a clear move away from the minimalist styles of late. The bags on show were equally enticing, one made from perforated white leather, framed with thick butter-soft white leather and folded over into a leather lock, including a heavy shiny silver chain handle. Another shoulder bag clashed dark black with a light mocha shade, finished off with an adjustable matching shoulder strap.
As accessories go, these are not just an addition to an outfit, but the making of it. As shoe design becomes ever more impressive and skilled, these show exactly the result of such craftsmanship.
