Rising Star: Florrie Arnold

The power of the British is back. And with the help of Florrie Arnold (Musician and model) there is a threat in the air that the rising star is here to stay. Beginning her career as a musician, she drummed her way into the backgrounds of many well-known songs, including The Promise by Girls Aloud. But setting collaborations aside and dropping her surname, Florrie transitioned into writing, singing, and drumming songs for her own solo career that began earlier this year.

With a new electro-pop sound, she is becoming a breath of fresh air on the music front. Not only is her music innovative and self written, but all songs are free to download, rebelling against the commercialisation of the music industry. And if this rebellion against conforming isn’t enough…she is also a model. Infact, she is not just any ordinary aspiring model. She has recently become the new face of Nina Ricci.

Now emerging into the limelight with not only a solo music career and a debut album in the making, but also a fresh-faced model and the new face of Nina Ricci. Setting stereotypes aside, she is no “typical model”. In a world where models are known for being nothing but models, living and breathing fashion (and that’s pretty much it!), Florrie is taking a different approach to the industry. Infact, she is still learning about fashion, and the difference of designer.

It is refreshing to find someone that is subliminally boycotting the commercial side of both the fashion and music industry. A sort of anarchist of the creative world. And not only breaking the conventional mould, but being praised for it along the way.
