Anya Hindmarch: BFC's Newest Addition

Anya Hindmarch is an authority on accessories. With 54 stores worldwide and an MBE to her name it perhaps comes as little surprise that Hindmarch has become a 'non-executive Director' at the British Fashion Council. Succeeding Hilary Riva-who is accredited with transforming and managing fashion businesses-Hindmarch will accompanied on the board by Chairman of the BFC Harold Tillman, its Chief Executive Caroline Rush, Simon Ward-BFC's Chief Operating Officer and Chris Inman, treasurer.

Synonymous with handbags, home-grown Hindmarch is recognized as a fashion force to be reckoned with - after all she held Glamour's 'Designer of the Year' title two years running, won the 'Designer Brand of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards in 2007 and has been awarded Luxury Briefing's 'Bravery in the Face of Adversity'. Tillman CBE shares the sentiments of the praising awarding bodies, saying "Anya will make a great addition to our team. She brings with her huge experience from both the design and retail sector and will be invaluable as we move towards with our future plans.” A match made in heaven.
