Lara Stone Nominated For British Model Of The Year

Lara Stone is one of three British models who have been nominated for ‘British Model Of The Year’ at the British Fashion Awards 2010, which was won last year by Georgia May Jagger. Models Rosie Huntington-Whitely and David Gandy have also been nominated for the award, which will be announced on the 7th of December.

The award for ‘Best Designer Brand’ sees a number of British labels go head to head, including Victoria Beckham’s own label as well as Burberry, Mulberry and Pringle of Scotland. Since winning ‘Model of The Year’ last year, Georgia May Jagger’s success story has been ongoing, even becoming the face of Chanel’s current campaign for the Chanel resort collection.

Lara Stone’s success has already been obvious this year, gracing the cover of Vogue UK and also interviewed by the magazine, as well as becoming the new face of Calvin Klein - it looks as though her quick rise to stardom could well outshine her competitors, although Rosie Huntington-Whitely has landed herself a role in the latest Transformers film while male model David Gandy has also launched a film career, and is a regular blogger for the Vogue website.
