Model Watch: Georgia May Jagger

Georgia May Jagger: the beautiful, unstoppable, straight-A student that is causing a stir in the modelling world. Daughter of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, Georgia is known for her Brigitte Bardot gap-toothed smile, pouty lips and bouncy blonde curls. Jagger’s career is just taking off, and already she’s been made the face of Chanel for the Resort 2011 campaign, as well as gracing the pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

Georgia broke into the mainstream when she fronted a Rimmel campaign which instantaneously made her a household name. She also took to the runway for the first time this year for Chanel’s Resort 2011 collection which saw the model showing off 2 outfits on the runway in St. Tropez.

In 2009, Jagger became the face of Hudson jeans, and is currently set to launch her own line of denim in collaboration with the label. In December of 2009, she was named the Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, a title that Lara Stone was recently crowned with this year.

Versace were one of the first fashion houses to take note of Georgia, naming her their new muse for their Spring/Summer 2010 campaign - Chanel quickly followed suit, booking her for their resort collection - these two appearances cemented her growing career further. Georgia has appeared in i-D, Vogue, Interview, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar, and has been captured by Hedi Slimane, Mario Testino and Mario Sorrenti amongst others.

In a recent interview, Georgia described her passion for clothes and fashion: “Yes, I’m interested in every aspect of fashion. I think it’s in my bones. When I was younger I used to be my mum’s stylist, picking things out for her to wear. I’d say to her, ‘If anybody asks you who styled you tonight say, “Georgia”.’

Georgia also talked about her sister Lizzie, who she describes as her ’best friend’ (she currently shares an apartment with Lizzie in New York):  “Lizzie is my absolute best friend. We have a very close relationship, but then my mum has four sisters so the family is a bit of a sisterhood. The only thing that Lizzie and I sometimes argue over is clothes – but I think all sisters do that. And we both hoard stuff – we have a hoarding gene and we both have more clothes than we could ever possibly wear.”

Georgia has yet to reach the peak of her career, and it’s clear that she is set to become even bigger news in the future if she plans to branch out in to fashion design as well as modelling (amongst other career paths she has in mind) - watch this space - this blonde bombshell is more than just a envy-inducing face!

  1. Georgia is adorable, with her dad's face shape, cheek bones, nose, mouth, and charisma! Lucky her, to also be reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot!
