Rag&Bone Pre-Fall 2011

Model Hanne Gaby Odiele showed off the 16-piece Rag&Bone Pre-Fall 2011 collection in New York. House designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright put their usual stamp on each piece, combining the famed maxi-skirt (this time with a sexy slit) with a casual t-shirt. Other pieces on offer included a simple full-length jumpsuit, knee-length skirts, gilets and casual knits - the palette used stuck firmly to a crisp white, punctuated with beige, navy and a blushing rose to make the collection transitional - stepping off from Summer and easing into Winter - which is exactly the point of Pre-Fall collections.

The collection mixed feminine skirts with tough biker jackets, simple, long gilets and a few tailored items including an easy-going lightly pinstriped blazer. The collection was rounded off with a pair of flat lace-up ankle boots available in black or mahogany, while Hanne Gaby Odiele’s hair was decked out with a few colourful hair extensions placed nonchalantly  - minty green and then a bright fuchsia.

This was a fun, unfussy Pre-Fall collection with season-less staples that offer a street-cool twist on classics, which is what Rag&Bone are all about.
