Elin Kling for H&M

Swedish blogger Elin Kling, who showcases her style must-haves via her blog Style By Kling, has recently announced her completed first collection with the Swedish chain of H&M. The brand is known for its extensive designer collaborations, but H&M has ventured into new territory by throwing a blogista into the mix. ...And I can't say that I hate it.

The collection includes 11 pieces total—nine fashion pieces and two accessories. The pieces are a divine juxtaposition of the feminine and masculine influences Kling incorporates into her very own wardrobe. The emphasis is on the silhouettes and the materials, making all details very discreet—including the raw-edge finish of the wide-leg trousers and the hidden chain in the neckline of a dress.

It will launch in Sweden on Feb. 3 in 10 selected stores. I'm sad to say this collection won't be making its way to the US or even the UK, but I will add that this collection is haute enough to travel for. Its sexy minimalistic appeal is enough to make any fashionista swoon. And it exemplifies Kling's personal style perfectly. It's light and raw with hints of her bohemian flare— very her, very now, and I wish it could be very mine.

What do you guys think of the collection? Too simple or just enough?

  1. Pretty trendy. I particularly like the Greek-esque dress.

  2. Just enough! My favorites are the three dresses and white blazer. Asymmetrical cuts are so in right now, and oh so chic. I'm also a big fan of draping. The winter white blazer is to die for! It's super feminine twist on a more masculine piece. Overall I think the collection flows very well together and each piece complements the others. Very now, very H&M.
