Screened at a 14th Century church at Pitti Uomo in Florence, British avant-garde designer Gareth Pugh showcased his mini-collection of 6 outfits in a startling short film, and this time, the usually colour-shy designer has opted for a striking cobalt blue and gold combination. Pugh said that he was inspired by Florence, as well as a mix of religious imagery, which is why he decided to remove himself from his usual Paris showing: "I like the idea of mixing hard with soft, masculine with feminine and light with dark. And for this show I wanted create the notion of a figure emerging from darkness into the light."
The video (below) was created in collaboration with Ruth Hogban and according to ShowStudio.com, was projected on to the ceiling of the 14th century church during the screening. DazedDigital have also released some images of the mini-collection, as well as some snaps from the film some of which are below.
