Hudson's Bay Lands in Paris

As a Canadian living in France I was ecstatic to see that the two divergent countries were 'officially' merged by the uber-trendy Parisian concept store, Colette. The shop is now selling Hudson’s Bay merchandise and thus, officially making Canadian style cool...

If you are not familiar with Hudson’s Bay, it is Canada’s largest commercial cooperation. They achieved their initial succes through a fur trade and later, through the creation of colorful and innovative point blankets. These point blankets which consist of green, red, yellow and indigo have become a celebrated Canadian symbol and also, an essential wardrobe staple as these coveted blankets have now been converted into various outwear pieces. Noteworthy Canadian designers such as Erdem, Christie Smythe and Andrea Lenczer of Smythe, have contributed too, to the reinvention of the Hudson’s Bay point blanket.

So what do you think of this trendy Canuck look? Not bad, eh?
